European Project Coordinator

ERCIM (http://www.ercim.org), the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics, located in Sophia Antipolis, France, is recruiting a European Project Coordinator starting in September 2008 or later.

Profile:
Minimum education: University-level diploma; master’s level preferred

Experience:
Minimum two years experience coordinating international projects.

Type of employment contract:
Employee coming from an ERCIM EEIG member: 12 months contract renewable

Location:
Sophia Antipolis, France OR remotely at the ERCIM institute with at least a 2 weeks training in France in Sophia Antipolis.

The candidate will have the responsibility of coordinating European research projects covering administration, finances, activity building and developing sustainable relationships with the managing scientists and the European Commission. Regular follow-up and monitoring of project activity is required along with the production of contractual reports related to the projects.

Required:

• Fluent English, both spoken and written is mandatory.
• Must be computer literate and know the Open Office / Microsoft Office suite of tools.
• Must be available for frequent travel within Europe.
