Cor Baayen Fellowship'96
The Cor Baayen Fellowship was created to honour the first ERCIM President and consists of an award given each year to a young researcher working in one of the ERCIM member organisations. The winner of the 1995 Cor-Baayen Fellowship Award was Christer Samuelsson (
see his article in this issue
). Nominations are sought from each ERCIM Institute by 31 July for the 1996 Cor Baayen Fellowship.
The Cor Baayen Fellowship consists of a cheque for 1000 ECUs together with an Award Certificate. The selected Fellow will be invited to the next ERCIM Meetings in Prague next November.
Rules for nomination:
Nominations from the ERCIM Institute are the responsibility of the ERCIM Executive Committee member. How these nominations are achieved is the responsibility of each institute.
Nominees must have carried out their work in association with an ERCIM institute and the research must have been performed within 1 year of the date of the nomination. The person may be a permanent or fixed-term employee or an ERCIM or HCM Fellow, for example.
On the date of the nomination, the Nominee must have been awarded their PhD and this must be within two years of the date of the nomination.
Each institute is allowed to nominate up to two persons. There is no obligation to nominate anybody if no suitable candidates are available.
A person can only be nominated once for the Cor Baayen Fellowship.
Selection of the Cor Baayen Fellow is the responsibility of the ERCIM Executive Committee.
